Induction hardening

tvch koleso

Induction hardening is the most common form of surface hardening. Due to the rapid heating, the surface hardness of the component is 2-4 units higher compared to through hardening. The raw, ductile core helps reduce brittleness. The depth of the hardened layer ranges from 1 to 5 mm.

The induction heating system consists of a high-frequency generator, a transformer, and the induction coil itself. The coil is made from a copper tube. The type of coil depends on the shape and size of the component. Most commonly, the appearance of the most widely used coil resembles a coil, which can have one or more turns.

Principle of Operation of Induction Heating

pic5 5 3 2 001

The principle of operation of the induction heating system is based on heating the surface of the part through eddy currents that flow within the metal layers.

These currents are generated due to the formation of an electromagnetic field between the coil and the workpiece.

Induction Hardening of Metal

– is a thermal processing method used to enhance the mechanical properties of metal products. This technology is applied across various industries where increased metal strength and hardness are required.

Karbaz offers induction hardening services to its clients. This process significantly improves the mechanical properties of metal through rapid and uniform heating of the product in a vacuum chamber, followed by cooling with a special liquid.

Induction hardening has several advantages. Firstly, it increases the strength and hardness of the metal through microstructural changes in the material. Secondly, this technology reduces processing time, thereby improving production efficiency and lowering costs.

Karbaz has extensive experience in induction hardening. We use modern equipment and highly qualified specialists to ensure the high quality of our services and meet our clients’ needs.

Contact us if you require induction hardening of metal. We guarantee high-quality services and timely processing of orders.

Induction hardening is short for Thermal Vacuum Condensation Hardening. This method of metal thermal processing allows for achieving high hardness and strength of the material through controlled heating and cooling in a vacuum environment. During induction hardening, the metal object is heated to a specific temperature and then cooled in a vacuum environment, resulting in specific microstructural changes in the metal.

Induction hardening is widely used in the production of metal products, including machine parts, tools, blades, knives, engine components, and more. This method improves the mechanical properties of the metal, such as hardness, strength, wear resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion resistance. It can also enhance the geometric characteristics of the metal, such as shape and size, making it more precise and effective in use.
