Normalizing

This technology refers to those types of processing that involve heating and holding products at a given temperature with subsequent gradual cooling. The temperature of steel normalization depends on the type of material.

This process can lead to internal recrystallization with the elimination of the coarse-grained structure. Normalization can be used for copper and cast iron, but the most widespread is steel normalization.

Our company carries out steel normalization 20, steel normalization 40x, steel normalization 45.
Normalization is a type of heat treatment that involves heating parts to a certain temperature, holding at this temperature and then cooling in air.

The objectives of normalization:

• improvement of the microstructure of steel;
• increase in mechanical properties and preparation for subsequent heat treatment.
• correction of the structure after forging and stamping of parts;
• remove overheating after welding of parts and relieve stress in the weld.
• increase in the yield strength and strength of castings, as well as impact toughness.

For some grades of carbon and special steels, normalization is the final operation of heat treatment, since as a result of normalization this steel acquires the required properties.
