Hardening

Our company «Karbaz» offers all types of hardening of cast iron, non-ferrous metals and steel, including induction hardening and hardening in protective environments. This type of heat treatment involves heating the parts and quickly cooling them in water, quenching liquid or oil.

The most commonly used are steel hardening 20, steel hardening 40x and steel hardening 45. As a result of steel hardening, strength and hardness are significantly increased, wear resistance increases. Hardening in a salt bath, protective coatings and induction hardening are popular. High-frequency hardening allows you to significantly strengthen parts by exposure to high-frequency currents.

Hardening — drum, bushing, gearbox axis, rear axle shaft, spring, tension roller, gear, pulley, harrow tooth, chopper knife, crankshaft.

For carbon steels, cooling is most often carried out in water, and for alloyed steels, in oil or other quenching liquids. Quenching is not the final operation of heat treatment. In order to reduce brittleness and residual stresses in the workpieces caused by quenching and to obtain the required mechanical properties, they are tempered.

The objectives of hardening:
• increasing hardness;
• increasing strength;
• increasing wear resistance;
• improving physical and mechanical properties.
