A NEW STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT: OUR COMPANY INTRODUCES A UNIQUE INDUCTION HARDENING UNIT
Sumy, 26.10.23 — Our company is pleased to present a new stage in its development: the introduction and commissioning of the EnergoEl IHC-15, a compact high-frequency current (HFC) unit for induction hardening.
High-frequency induction hardening is one of the most cost-effective and technologically advanced methods of strengthening machine parts. This method makes it possible to harden the surface of parts or those individual areas of it that are subject to the highest loads. As a result of this process, a hard outer surface of the part can be obtained while the inner layer remains soft and tough. This structure provides high resistance, reliability and strength of products, which are key characteristics in modern industry.
The most important feature of high-frequency hardening is the operating frequency. Thanks to the increased current frequency, heat is effectively concentrated on a limited area, which results in high-speed heating at rates of up to several hundred degrees per second. Our new unit uses much higher frequencies, which makes it unique compared to most other high-frequency units in Ukraine. This allows more precise control of the hardened layer depth.
Most high-frequency units common in the country, including our first one, operate at frequencies from 15 to 30 kHz. This made it possible to achieve a hardened layer depth of about 2.5 mm. The new unit, however, is capable of operating at frequencies from 60 to 300 kHz, which allows more precise control of the hardening depth, which can be less than 1 mm. This makes it possible to heat-treat individual tooth spaces and teeth of a gear with ultra-high precision.
In addition, the new unit makes it possible to heat-treat small, thin parts and complex products. This allows us to work on more complex and innovative projects.
